Leisure Group Travel Doubles Regional Coverage in 2003; Provides Best of Both Worlds - Regional Coverage in a National Magazine

Downers Grove, IL - Premier Tourism Marketing's Leisure Group Travel magazine is increasing its domestic United States regional coverage next year, with each state in the "lower 48" featured twice in the calendar year.

This increased coverage will better allow the magazine to communicate time-sensitive destination stories and updates to the group travel industry, whilst providing destinations and suppliers the ability to market their products and services via targeted editorial sections on a more frequent basis.

"Our regional coverage provides the best of both worlds," noted Jeff Gayduk, publisher of Leisure Group Travel. "By publishing regional updates in a national magazine such as Leisure Group Travel, we more effectively create destination demand from our readership. Studies have shown that pure regional magazines do little in attracting attention outside the home demographic region, especially with those not predisposed to visiting that region. Leisure Group Travel, being a national publication, creates demand among those group travel organizers who are seeking new destinations for their travel programs without any preconceived prejudices."

Regional coverage for 2003 includes: Mid-Atlantic (February, August); Frontier & Mountain West (February; August); Midwest (April, October); New England (June, December); Southeast (April, October); West Coast (June, December).

Each Regional Update will include an expanded "Destination Monitor" covering new attractions, exhibits, festivals & events, out-of-the way destinations and special interest stories. John Kloster, Leisure Group Travel's Editor in-Chief said, "Our destination editorial coverage is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our readers. We provide information on what's new for leaders well-versed in an area, as well as highlights, facts and suggested itineraries for those who aren't." The sections will also feature enhanced graphics and descriptive regional and state maps.

Premier Tourism Marketing publishes three trade journals for the group travel industry. Leisure Group Travel, considered the premiere publication for top travel clubs and group planners; Travel Tips, the leading publication for the western group travel market; and Leisure Travel Directories - special directory pullout supplements that reach the 27,500 combined readers of both publications. The firm is a four-time winner of the Mature Media Award for journalism excellence in travel trade magazines.
