The debut of InSite, a bi-weekly e-zyne from Leisure Group Travel last month, marked another "first" for Premier Tourism Marketing publications. The firm was the first group travel publisher to repurpose all of its print content online in "same viewing" format as its print magazines (including ads), as well as the first and only company to launch a vertical search engine directory (www.grouptraveldirectory.com) specifically for the group travel industry. Now with InSite, the firm is poised to deliver fresh and compelling "group travel" content to its 9,200 online subscribers every other week.
"InSite's unique because it's delivered to subscribers who've opted in to receive email communication from us," states Theresa O'Rourke, sales manager for InSite. "It's important to our advertising partners that we're not just grabbing names and emailing them. | Understanding how busy planners are today, the firm is also repurposing content from Leisure Group Travel magazine and emailing it to readers via InSite. Planners can read an article right on their computer screen (in Adobe Acrobat), and hyperlink directly to editorial mentions or advertisers, thus facilitating seamless tour planning. |
Gayduk continued, "Planners have told us they are looking for deals online, so we've added a forum for suppliers to email special group offers either with banner ads or special offers. These are non- intrusive, permission-based opportunities for group- friendly suppliers to reach their desired audience."
