John KlosterJohn Kloster is an owner of Premier Tourism Marketing
and serves as Editor in Chief of its publications. He is also the owner of Kloster
Associates, a travel marketing firm. Kloster brings extensive skills in
general management, sales, marketing and other areas, gained from nearly thirty
years in the travel industry. Previously, Kloster served for 14 years as CEO of
MAST, a regional travel agency consortium. While there, he expanded the membership
seven-fold and conceived and implemented the first, and only successful, group
GDS contract. He also developed the group's innovative marketing and educational
programs. Prior to joining MAST, Kloster spent 14 years in the wholesale tour
business with two different firms. He held various sales, marketing, operations
and management positions before becoming the head of both companies. Kloster
has served on numerous industry advisory boards, including ASTA, Princess Cruise
Line, Pleasure Break Vacations, CTIP, DER and others. Leisure Travel News named
him one of the industry's Top 25 Influential Executives in 1998 and 2000. He earned
a Bachelor of Arts in Government and History from the College of William and Mary
in Virginia. |
